Basil Lime Vodka Freeze

Saturday night was spent with great friends, amazing food and refreshing cocktails. We whipped up this delicious, low-calorie drink and it was too good not to share! Here’s the recipe:

Basil Lime Vodka Freeze (Makes 2-4 drinks depending on size of glasses)

  • Peel two limes and put the limes in blender without the rind (may be easier to slice the peeled limes before blending)
  • 1/4 cup agave nectar
  • 1/8 cup basil leaves
  • 3-4 cups of ice
  • 8 oz club soda
  • Blend in a blender until it has a slushy consistency
  • Pour mixture in glasses, leaving room for the vodka
  • Pour the desired amount of vodka in each glass and stir
  • Serve and Enjoy!

This cocktail was so fresh and flavorful. Next time I’m going to use mint leaves instead of basil and it will be probably be similar to a slushy mojito.
