In honor of summer arriving, here is a wonderful DIY salt spray that will give you beachy waves without breaking the bank. I usually use Fekkai Summer Hair but ran out and didn’t want to fork over another $25 for my 4th bottle. I found this fantastic recipe on Maskcara (she just won Allure Beauty Blogger of the Year!). The only thing I changed from her creation is that I skipped adding perfume. The end result smelled really nice and coconut-y on its own, but feel free to add some perfume to yours if you like! I used my empty Fekkai bottle since it has a great spritzer, and I am really loving this spray! It’s extremely salty, which gives the beachy texture, but it is drying so I use a good serum on the ends of my damp hair and then spritz the salt spray really generously when hair is nearly all dry. I will also spritz on totally dry hair to add some texture. I like to spray from the middle of my head down to the ends and scrunch vigorously to get a nice wave.
